Vickers Super VC10 Type 1151 G-ASGC

This aircraft proved a popular aircraft with both passengers and crew.
It was reliable, attractive and had a low level of cabin noise,
owing to its rear mounted engines.
Only 54 VC 10's were built, 32 Standards and 22 Supers and the RAF
continue to operate its VC 10's in a variety of roles, including
airborne refuelling.
GC was operated by BOAC and British Airways from January 1965 to
October 1979 and during this time it flew 54,623 hours and made
16,414 landings.
It made its final flight from Heathrow to Duxford on the 15th April 1980.
This aircraft is usually the second of the civil collection that is
open to the public.
