The Friends of Duxford
This is the most recent membership group and was founded in a joint initiative with the IWM and some support from Fly Past.
It is a group for those enthusiasts who wish to support the work of the society but who are unable to give the time to be working members. They are drawn from all over the country and from all walks of life but have a common interest in the work of the society.
Details of membership are available from the Information Centre and from the various trading outlets around the site. Postal application is via the

The Private Collections
There are a number of other collections based at Duxford, some of which are commercial operations involved in the restoration, renovation or reconstruction and displaying of historic aircraft, mostly military airframes. These include:
The Fighter Collection
The Old Flying Machine Company
The Aircraft Restoration Company
The Historic Aircraft Company
There are also smaller groups who operate only one aircraft:
Plane Sailing - Catalina Flying Boat
The B17 Preservation Society - Sally B - B17 Flying Fortress.
DAS volunteers work on some of these projects in a supporting role.
